Hi,
while visiting the US, I purchased a Pre3 at HP's webOS store in Sunnyvale, but figured out that this is locked to AT&T. Since I'm returning to Europe soon, I'd like to use it outside AT&T. I called AT&T for an unlock code, and they'd be willing to help, but failed to find the device in their system. 1) Any positive experience with digitalunlock.com? They offer to unlock the device for $49. 2) Is there a way to bypass the activation and at least access the device without using the phone part for now? HP documents how to do this (https://developer.palm.com/content/r...ed_device.html) for webOS 2.0 and 3.0 devices, but the process ("Go to the phone app. On a GSM phone, press "#*DEVMODE#", followed by the call button.") does not really work, as I'm stuck in the activation screen and can't go to the phone app. How do I do this? Regards sthones |
