Good screen protector for the Pre 3?

Hi all,

Anyone know of a good quality screen protector for the Pre 3?

I got myself some cheap ones off ebay to tide me over, but I'm after something better. You know, something less "sticky" (relies less on adhesive) and doesn't leave a residue.

Anyone managed to find some they're happy with?

I bought Vikuiti DCQ160. It's supposed to be good (no bubbles). I will let you know how it works when it arrives.

He better not apply it too roughly... the same skin on mine was stretched when I applied it on my Pre Plus

Personally I use the None TM screen protector.
The screen looks strong enough and I never put phones with keys in my hand bag

We are using Nokia N8's w/o protector for about a year and not a scratch is to be found in full critical sunlight.
My Pre 3 is not allowed to do worse

I had Vikuiti on my Nokia N900 for nearly two years and it was great. I'm now using Vikuiti on Pre3. Got it from Protectionfilms24.com Quick delivery to UK.

Thanks for all the feedback guys... decided to order the Vikuiti protector as it seemed reasonably priced and generally well viewed.

Managed to get some cheap from ebay: got two for £5.25 including delivery... now just hoping they're legit... you know how dodgy ebay can be!

got it today. works great so far. Had no bubbles from beginning. and touchscreen works the same as without it.

I paid less than three pounds for six on ebay. I needed to use two before I got one on I was happy with but no bubbles or defects I can see after a couple of weeks.

I got some cheap ones off ebay too (6 for £2.45) and funnily enough, it took me 3 attempts before I was happy, but I still don't think they're that good (expected for that price).
The two protectors I just bought for £5.25 were the "Vikuiti" ones which a few people in this discussion seem to rate very hihgly.

You didn't get 6 Vikuiti screen protectors for under £3 did you??

i bought the same 6 x £2.54 protectors for ebay.

They pick up scratches so easily and are very shiny. for the price they are good, but not good quality

Vikuit has 3 models of screen protector for the Pre3. Normally there's a non-glossy type as well, but it doesn't seem available for the Pre3

Yeah, it looks like Vikuiti offer the ADQC27, DQC160 and the CV8.

The one's I've ordered are the CV8 variety which appear to be the cheaper type. Hoping they still do the job well enough!

Here, try this link. The summary of the features of each in the results view help to differentiate, while the detailed descriptions of each product explain even more. Basically, as you get more expensive, you add "dirt-repellent", then "anti-reflective surface", then even "privacy filter" (at the bottom of the list, twice the price).

Finally got these today: the "Vikuiti CV8" screen protectors (comes with two). Have to be honest, it's dreadful. I can see why they give you two now! The application process is so hit and miss that you're bound to get it wrong first time. Even second time around, it's not much better. I'd steer well clear of this - serves me right for going down the cheap route!

The problem is that it's VERY high in adhesive, so as soon as any part of the protector makes contact with the screen, you have to commit! It's not like the "static/clingy" variety where you can re-apply if you get it wrong. This sucker stays on and its reliance on strong adhesive makes the process so fiddly.

I'll keep mine on for now but I'm back on the hunt for something better. The more expensive Vikuiti's look more promising...

Hi,

I bought the ADQC27 from Protectionfilms24.com | HP Pre3
And they are very very great.
Here you can find a comparison of the different types of screen protectors:
Bedifol GmbH | Screen Protectors

ADQC27 are:
Anti-reflective
With hard coating
Very easy mounting

They are not cheap but great. I also got the UltraClear but they are not so good.

And yes you have to be very careful when applying the protector. If you lift it one time you will see that you removed it and tried to reattach it.

I got these and am happy with them. They're quite thick, good for even deep scratches and actually have cutouts for the pre3 speaker.
