Noob on the whole unlocked phone thing - I'm supposed to be working so haven't had time to search for the answer properly. But, can you put a unlocked Pre 3 on the Sprint network?
    TIA

    Hello,

Sprint (and Verizon) uses CDMA technology and does not have a SIM card;so, the answer to your question is no. You can use an unlocked Pre3 on AT$T or T-Mobile, as they use GSM and have a SIM card.

    What is an Unlocked Phone?

    Hope this answers your question.

You also have to be careful that it is not an EU phone. I believe they use different bands and you wouldn't get 3g in the states.

The Pre 3 Can Only Work On AT&T To Quote A Different Thread:
" Tmob divides their 3G and HSPA+ 1700 up and 2100 down so no way to test with just one freq band.

AT+T 3G sends up and down in 1900 and also 850 MHz bands.Depend son where you are and what device you have because they send up and down HSPA+ only in the 850 MHz band. That's why 1900 MHz band allows 3G to function, but no HSPA+ availability.

But all of what they did is in the forum here's the link:
