I think a video said it's for noise cancellation

Noise cancellation mic is the hole on the back side. Looks like the phone mic is the one on the lower portion of the slider.

As for whether it will work with the slider closed - I don't see why it wouldn't. It's not like the Pre3 has a soundproof gasket running along the slider mating surface. These days, it doesn't really matter where you put the mic.

I thought the creator of the 4x4 launcher patches said the launcher is not patchable anymore. So sadly the icons can no longer be re-sized. ;-(

I'd LOVE to be wrong, but he thought it was impossible.

Typically, noise cancellation systems use one mic for speaking into, and another (usually on the opposite side of the device but not always) for the noise cancellation.

thanks. i don't think i need to know that bad. my curiosity is gone.

I would take the pre2 or pre3 right now if it were on Sprint. Honestly, I don't want a phone as big as the 3 - I prefer the size of the 2 - but I will take what I can get. Here is to the day when there are multiple sizes/form factors for all of our unique tastes

i just cant wait to get this phone, im on my 6th pre, power button has seen better days on the phone, and im too stubborn to upgrade to another device cuz webos IMO is the best operating system around, so i will wait as long as it takes for this sexy piece of machinery to come to sprint...

and ps, i believe that early adopters for the pre on sprint will have a special offer for them waiting when the pre3 is released, or so i would like to believe haha

Same here. This thread is making me realize that the Pre 3 is not just good-looking, it's downright pretty.

We've seen the spec's side-by-side, but has anyone seen a picture (or video) of the Pre3 besides the other Pre's? I would like to see how much larger it really is.

    Thankx in advance~

in terms of feel. The Veer was tiny but great keyboard.

@pre3 was perfectly balances, and felt like my blackberry curve in how it "fit" in my had. Huge keyboard. Like treo 755p.
