The hands on reviews seem to be giving the new keyboard a thumbs up, but I'm dubious. I took the high resolution photos available at Cnet:

HP Pre 3 - HP TouchPad, Pre 3, Veer (photos) - CNET Reviews

measured them on my screen and compared them to the actual specs on the Palm site:

Palm USA | Hp Pre 3 Phone | Features, Details

From the left edge of the Q to the right edge of the P on my Pre+ is 51 mm. My estimate for the Pre 3 is 52.4 mm. Not exactly a huge increase. I was really hoping for something more "blackberry-esque".

having both phones, and typing on both all day, I do love my blackberry keyboard compared to my Pre keyboard. I've only had the blackberry for about 4 months and I can type much faster and more accurate than on my Pre.

I just laid the two on top of each other, and they seem to be the same width.

    Which model Blackberry?

For grins I just dug out my Motorola Napoleon and the keyboard width is 59 mm. I've typed reports on that thing.
