Unfortunately, one of the consequences of their iTunes shenanigans is that they no longer get the benefit of the doubt. They have proven to be the type of company that does not care if they were acting properly. If they thought they needed it or "deserved" it, they would have just taken it. They have no credibility and no moral leg to stand on. They traded that for a few months of iTunes compatibility.
