Apparently people have reverse engineered the protocol that Apple uses in their own remote software and are using it on the Android platform. Is this at all helpful for you to be able to do the same for the Pre?

Hi
that's essentially what I use. the reason for the software on the pc side is that the pre doesn't support the low level networking that is needed to talk to itunes, so the pc app deals with that stuff and passes the info to the pre over http.
