What carrier? Makes a big difference.

    Totally.

Find out what carrier has the best coverage in the areas you frequent. Each carrier has hot and cold spots in every local coverage area. Great deal with no service = bad deal.

I borrowed a loaner from Sprint to see if they covered the "holes" I was finding in my Cingular coverage, before I bought my Treo 650. The fact that Sprint's unlimited data plan was half the price of Cingular's, made the discovery that they covered my "flight paths" better, all the sweeter.

    Cheers, Perry.

Here is the deal on the Palm web site for new service:

What are the Sprint stores and/or web site offering these days? (Sometimes they are different.)

I got a new Verizon Treo 650 from www.ewcommunications.net for $99. They seem to have the exact same rates as verizonwireless.com and the phone works great.

You can get a free (Cingular?) Treo 650 for taking selected United Airline flights. . .
Of course, you sign up for a two year contract. . . .

It would be worth it if you were a frequent flyer. I paid less via AT&T than the amount they are saying for a ticket.
    Thank You,
