    try #*377!

Plus, you need to put another # sign after ##337. So, use ##337#. You don't press Dial.

First of all, the code is 377, not 337. Depending on the type of phone you're using, the actual code will be ##377 or #*377 or #*#377.

Okay, I did not look that closely. It is ##377. But, you can do ##377# and not press the dial button. I have never tried these codes with the dial button. Did not even know you could. I guess we keep on learning.

I have the unlocked GSM. For me, #*377 (dial) works. #*377# does not work (nor does ##377, ##337, or ##INEEDAGIRLFRIENDPLEASEHELPME#).

Either or works (# or Send, or even tapping the dial icon for that matter.)

According to his profile, he is a Cingular user, so, #*377.

So this also depends on the carrier, as well as the type of phone (GSM vs TDMA)?

Probably carrier. For instance, VZW and Sprint are both CDMA, however VZW uses #*#, whereas Sprint uses ##.

Tried on my Orange UK (#*377#) and the screen just flashes and returns to the dial pad.

What should it be showing me?

Forget the last pound sign. Enter #*377 and tap Dial.

It (often vaguely) gives you the reason for your last reset.

    Hello,

This is Kevin from Palm. For anyone interested, here are the error log numbers from the Palm site:

For Cingular Wireless (including former AT&T Wireless accounts), Orange, Rogers Wireless, T-Mobile or other GSM:

Using the on-screen dialpad or the number keys enter #*377 (#*ERR on the dialpad for error) and choose Dial.

    For Bell Mobility:

Using the on-screen dialpad or the number keys enter ##377 (##ERR on the dialpad for error) and choose Dial.

    For Sprint PCS:

Using the on-screen dialpad or the number keys enter ##377 (##ERR on the dialpad for error) and choose Dial.

    For Verizon Wireless:

Using the on-screen dialpad or the number keys enter #*#377 (#*#ERR on the dialpad for error) and choose Dial.

    Sincerely
    Kevin

    OK Guys I need help!

I was screwing around with this on my unbranded unlocked GSM and now my phone won't work. When I try to dial a number it just flashes the screen to all white an returns to the dial pad without dialing the number. Data seems to work fine. I tried a soft reset and also cycling on and off the phone.

Could I have screwed something up with typing #337## or something like that?

If I'm repeating what someone has already said look at how long the thread is and ask yourself if you really expect me to read the whole thing.
