I was wondering if anyone has customized or modified the appearence of there treo? I really would be intested to see some pics. I always wished my Treo was all black.

I even wished I could find a decal that was the same color as the back. I want to cover up the chrome part by the navigational buttons so it's all one color.

I droped it a few times -- scratched up the whole left side, busted the speaker cover, and ripped up some of the keys. Does that count?

I know its not a big customize change but all I really wanted was to take away the chrome on the Treo. So I bought a silver skin. Now you don't see the Verizon logo anymore and it matches my PowerBook. I had trouble with the keyboard section. I believe the skin was cut wrong. I know I put it on right but it just didn't fit all around the keys. So I took it off.

The case I modified too. It was a iPod case I found on the street. I took off the belt clip and covered up the holes from where the belt clip was, with a green stripe I cut from a plasticy lunch bag I had. I use that because I knew the edges wouldn't fray.

It's not paint. It's just a silver decal. I bought it off of ebay. If you look closely you can see a thin line of the chrome on the right side in "treo1.jpg" I didn't place it on perfectly. It's a little crooked. Does it look good?

Robot, gotta go with with dport - your Treo looks waaay to new. How long have you had that thing? Still, cool decal. Very industrial art-deco.

I like them skins from Skinit. Not gonna pay 10 USD though. Once again, a company trying to gouge PDA users' pocketbooks.

Ha Ha. I'll take that as a compliment. It's not photoshop if thats what you are implying. I swear it's a skin. A silver one I bought on ebay.

If you look really closely you can see a bump from the Verizon logo under the LED light. The bump is from the check swoosh thing. In this image.

    Also in http://www.rgentile.com/treo1.jpg
you can see the the edge of the skin around the ear speaker next to the LED light.

Yeah, that case is an ipod case where I removed the belt clip. I attached the a green stripe to cover up the holes from where the belt clip was.

The guy on eBay needs to make one called Treo 700. It can be silver on the front with the new Palm logo and black on the keyboard area and back. He could even do a little black strip for the antenna.
