I've been seeing more and more Treos here in Nashville; in the last week I've seen 2 of them out in public. Each time I see one, I know that I'm becoming less geeky, more trendy!

Well working at CompUSA in Nashville and I have lots of business customers come in, strapped with a Treo pouch/clip on their belt. I'd say probably every other day I work someone other than myself gets a call with the treo ring, and I ofcourse pick mine up to see that it's not me. Once had 4 people within ears distance of eachother think it was theirs.

longterm, where you at in Nashville?

At my pharmacy last Friday I hear a guy getting loud with my technician...I step in and find out he doesn't have any of his insurance information...He proudly informs me that he is visting from CALIFORNIA (his emphasis, not mine), whips out his Treo and starts pressing buttons...I suggest (in my best "kill 'em with kindness" voice BTW) that maybe he should contact his pharmacy in California for the info. He snaps "That's what I was planning to do!" I just have to call 411 to get the number" It took him maybe 10 minutes to get the number, and another 20 to get the scripts filled but it would have been a lot faster had he a) not been a jerk and b) had Directory Assistant! Usually I love to chat people up about the Treo and share tips but for this *sshole I stayed quiet.

I went to the ER because I thought I had a urinary tract infection or something of the sort, the guy who performed triage on me had a 650 on his side and I was sitting there in immense pain goin "...Hey, is that a Treo 650?"
"yea, it's mine. I love it."
"Really? Man, I think I'm going to pick one up off ebay soon"
"Oh they're awesome, I own web hosting company and I can access my admin cpanel stuff with great ease"
"Really? Sweet. Damn, I have to get myself one of those."

Couple hours later I had emergency surgery to take out my appendix (ruptured), but still it was kinda cool to get the lousy stuff off my mind and talk to someone about it.

im live in the atlanta area and for you atlanta falcons fans i know that Warrick Dunn has a treo 600.iv seen 2 since i bought mine.people love my treo650 but when i tell them the price they say there not going to spend that much for a phone,i tell them the treo 650 is so much more than a phone.i always try to give them a little taste of it but people want to hold it to much,i tell them thats my baby that i will hold it for them.if someone drops my baby what would i do.

Saw a few more this weekend in NYC .... not to mentioned a number of people have seen the phone in my hands and commented on it ... a few commented they liked it better then the sidekick.

The treo seems to be ready to go mainstream - I just hope Plam is ready too..

Part 2 was a total yawner! Yes, the Treo appearance would be the best part, as you mentioned...although I don't recall that scene myself!

If you are forced to watch it again (I hope my wife is not reading this) Sandra tosses it to some guy and then chases and tackles Dolly Parton,,,,,,,mmmmmm,,,,,,

I change my mind Sandra Bullock straddling Dolly Parton was the best part,,,,,

Got my new issue of Cigar Aficionado (Sept./Oct. '05) today and there is a tech review of camcorders and they have a few paragraphs on the Treo 650 (with photo) and mention how good toysoft live is in the camcorder mode of the 650.

My daughter (4th grade) came home from a friends house the other day and said, "Dad, my friends dad had your phone. But his was on Sprint"! I never saw my 300, or my 600 anywhere. But I'm seeing the 650 quite regularily now.

I havn't seen too many treo 600's or 650's around here. Cleveland isn't the most tech-forward city in the country either ,so I guess only seeing a few makes sense.
Now that I think about it, I've only seen one, well maybe two treo's in peoples' hands. Saw one guy typing away on his in a restaurant. The other was a guy at a gas station-texting while pumping.

    Joe

When I get my t650, I'll be the third guy in the area to have one.
    Long live the TWIT army!

While looking at shoes at FinishLine, a young kid (maybe 20 or so) was pecking away at his 650 while waiting for his shoes to try on. I was kind of surprised to see such a young person with it, but hey...success is for the masses right?

If Plam made this thing a little smaller and marketed it's TM and Music abilitly this phone could be a hot seller -- It's does so much more the a sidekick it's just silly.

You mean if they advertised it ?

Yes - a campaign other then in airports and the wallsteet journal -- And it's doesn't have to be apper advertising.

The sidkicked is used by celeberties -- casuing a stir among youth. Most 'trends' today are started this way.

Beef up the memory a bit, dupe Real, get Ptunes, or a music player with a desktop companign. Preload the phone with a vericaht, or other IM program- Maybe even AOL, as other phones due.

Hell, if you really want to go crazy, you can sell aq 'hooked up' version (I realize that unrealistic, but I'm making a point)

The phone is so capable, it can appeal to more then just business users if Palm wanted to.
