For some reason Snappermail only has the original alert sounds, not new ones I've installed as options for an alert. Is there any way to get around this?

I use Butler to get around it:

    1. Enable Butler's Attention Grabber for "Attention Manager" and set its Alert to your Ring-Tone, MP3 or Old Alarm of choice.

    2. Edit your preferred Delivery Preference in Snapper such that "New Message Alert" is checked, but the Alert Tone has no volume.

Butler is one way around, there are a couple of others as well.

    TechSounds - http://www.ecamm.com/palm/techsounds/
    KoolSounds from Toysoft (Yeck!)

These will both do what you want. I am registered Snapper user as well and have been bummed that I have to use 3rd party software to have a better mail notification sound then the stock selection.

Maybe in another release. And before a thousand ardent Chatter supporters start in on me to try Chatter, I have. Nice product, but I have already paid for Snapper and don't care for the interface of Chatter. Thanks.

It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." -- Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, Sergeant, USMC
