I used to use 3Gupload all the time to download wallpapers and ringtones. A long time ago I paid the $5 for the unlimited access and it was great.

Then just recently I go back and they've started charging 13.99 for 6 months unlimited??? What gives? Not that 13.99 is a lot of money or anything, but I already paid money for unlimited access a long time ago. Plus it's only for 6 months, I'd probably only download about 1-5 ringtones a month.

Anyone know of a good website where I can get polyphonic ringtones for free? I'm starting to think I'll have to get a program that'll allow me to play mp3's as my ringtone. What's a good program for that?

Audio3g.com is another site I'm not sure if they are connected in anyway but I believe this site is free so give it a try..
The only time I ever made a mistake was when i thought I did and was mistaken.

I don't pay for screensavers nor ringtones, but games and apps I do. D-D-N.com is a good paid site for games and apps, but that is all. 3GUPLOAD.com is subpar for the money. I paid 1 year memberships at each site. DDN is the better site IMO. Mbuzzy.com is a better site for ringtones and screensavers that are free. Again IMO.

I make my own ringtones and screensavers also. Photoshop 8.0 is great for wallpapers.

3gupload was a great site... But the greed took over... I remember I posted in their forum about how unfair I thought it was for them to charge so much, and they deleted my post. I refuse to ever use them especially with all the great free sites out there. I guess since custom phone ringers are so popular, they decided to up the prices and take advantage of it. More power to them, business is business... but sometimes ethics plays a role and they should've stood firm with the pricing for existing members at least.....

I agree, this is why I will not renew my membership with them next year. My issue with them was that they, 3GUPLOAD said they would have games and apps for Sprint's new QVGA phones the 5600 and A800. They have yet to produce games nor apps for these type of phones. And quite possible they never will. Oh, well.

www.3gforfree.com is free ONLY when you go to the site from your phone. If you check from your PC you have to join and pay some fee. I was just on there on Father's Day and downloaded some ringers on my wife's and niece's phones and it was still free.

Oh, and I was a member at 3gupload.com back when the site was still free. I used to like them a lot and would actually donate on a regular basis and participated in the forums regularly until the started allowing blatant racist comments from a few users. It left a very bad taste in my mouth and I left even before they started charging for memberships. I couldn't support an organization like that in good conscience. That being said, I'm not surprised that they have once again changed their fees. This is probably the third time.

I've since joined here and another treo site since buying my 600. The higher level of intelligence is most refreshing.
