i'm using snappermail and i can't get it to work too. the error message that snapper is generating is:

    Authorizing POP
socket closed by peer Failed to
authorize to POP server on account
    Gmail. Server replied DURATION:
    1:13
    END: 6/19/05 3:51pm

nevermind, i got it to work. the instructions on gmail's site is wrong for snappermail.
    https://gmail.google.com/support/bin...&ctx=en:search

for pop it says to use: always secure (starttls)

that cause my error below. i changed it to: always secure (wrapped port) and that worked.

Yes, 'wrapped port' is the key to making Gmail work well with Snapper. Gmail is a Beta, so this can change sometime in the future?
