    I welcome your thoughts on what is a frustrating problem. My Treo 600 (Sprint PCS) tends to be good; I'm in Southern California. Several times in the last week, however, my Treo won't allow me to make a call even though I have 3 or 4 bars showing good signal strength. When I try to make the call, I get a "no service" message even though I have the several bars. Any idea what causes that--or what to do about it? It has lasted for several hours (even in locations with generally good coverage).

    I'm hoping this is an easy problem.

    You, my friend, have a bad battery. They go bad after a while. Search the threads on this. I replaced the btry myself for 24 dollars.
