Ok, so I haven't photo shopped this yet, but I've been looking at the T5's display thinking how nice it would be to have one like that.

But I also can't seem to get rid of the thumb keyboard of the Treo (It's just to handy).

Sooo...what if Palm made a Treo kinda like that Sony smart phone where the keyboard covered part of the screen, part of the time. But here's where it gets cool. Instead of removing the keyboard, they could have a lock system where you could pull the keyboard down maybe 1/2" and then swivel around and the relock in place in landscape. Kind of backwards of the sidekick, almost like when the keyboard is swiveled it would make a "T". I think it would be very functional. Very cool for web viewing.

Anyone more proficient than me wanna take a stab at PhotoShoppin' one for me? Otherwise I will be forced to butcher one up.

Kind of like the third one, but then the keyboard would swivel for landscape use.

I like the extended version. I think they should get rid of the antenna. It give the treo a cleaner look without it

My favorite is the slider, although I would'nt slide the keyboard open often. I would like to still have the option. I have fewer typos when using fatfinger. But to be totaly honest I love the way it is now, I dont need a bigger screen and man I barely get a signal now, if they took away the antenna I would be out of luck.

I like the slider too. I think the challenge would be the flatness of the buttons. For example, the Pocket PC SX66 (AKA PPC6600, HTC Blue Angle, etc) has buttons that are very flat to allow for such sliding action. Your slider mockup looks great except it still has the current 3 dimensional buttons that would make it difficult to actually close the thing. I still think it's a great idea though.

Trading raised buttons for flat is'nt much of a trade, I wonder if using a screen keyboard full time would make you miss the hard button keyboard.

I love the current keyboard. That's why I thought of swiveling the keyboard to landscape to get the full screen.

How about you put together what you can cause Im confused about your discription, and I'll get a 6 pack and stay up alittle late and put together one. The ones I did for myself I eeked out pretty fast but I'll go slower on yours.

OK. Here's another idea. Take the version you made in your avatar. Instead of rotating the keyboard, what if we could rotate the screen. Now THAT would be awesome. Quite possibly the coolest idea I have heard of yet for a Treo.

Not sure how it would hold up, but wait...I went through 5 Treo 600s and am currently on my second 650, so it couldn't be too much worse.
