    I was wondering why I cannot have my network connected permanently. Is it because I am a Cingular customer and Cingular does not allow this? If so, what would be the reason for them not wanting it on all the time? Thanks for the help in advance.

    I assume you are talking about being connected to the GPRS/EDGE network. It may be a timeout issue. My network connection remains on all the time, but I also use ChatterEmail, which keeps that connection open and active (at least if it's doing reconnects I don't see them). Before I used Chatter my network connection would drop after some amount of time.

    Mine times out constantly but I use the "always on" data connection in Verichat to keep it connected.

    I don't have chattermail or verichat. Is there a menu on the Treo 600 that will allow me to have an "always on" button?
