Ever since I picked up the Treo650 I find myself in a new daily routine. I fire up the laptop, turn on Fox new and scouring the TC forums for new apps, fixes and tips.
My wife and kid can’t understand HOW I can spend soooo much time reading about a phone? I spend about two hours a day on this, the funny thing is it relaxes me and its fun.
Is this normal, am I sick, is this unusual?
How much do you STF (surf the forums)

I was just about to post the same topic! I've been on here at least an hour or two a day for the past couple months checking out various discussions, figuring out my needs, and simultaneously checking out developer sites for the recommended apps. Sad thing is, I don't even have a Treo yet!

    This site is electronic crack.

agree totally, strange thing is that I just don't get the same feeling on other sites like HoFo or PDAphonehome. I guess it because of the diversity of topics and comments.
Informative, helpfull and funny at the same time. I don't know if some of the Top Poster realize how much we Appreciate their help and "Software hacks"

this place is such a repository of knowledgeable folks for such a specific subject matter. i lurked for a long while just absorbing and using the experiences of others to guide my purchase of Treo-centric items. I entered with a good understanding of bluetooth, gprs, etc, but I've learned a boatload about EDGE, EVDO, CDMA and the (un)reliability of certain carriers.

i also dig the urgency/frequency of the posting and realized that many people had the same curse of technolust that i do.

It's like a disease. I swear sometimes I think the only reason I got a Treo is so that I can browse the mobile TC forums!!

Oh yeah... I check the fourms multiple times all day....

I prefer Geek Hero. Like when someone says does anyone have calculator, calendar, know when the next movie will start, directions, dr. appt. last oil change. Heck I come through all the time.

It is rediculous I agree. But addictive. This Treo thing was supposed to make me more efficient and save me time yet it and the TC forums have become the biggest "time suckage" things in my life according to the lovely wife. She just came in my home office to announce she's off to the grocery store and saw the TC forums on my monitor.....shook her head and asked me, "when is it ever 50 degrees and sunny in Boston in early February...." I guess I should blow the dust off those cross-country skis. But I have and continue to learn so much from all of you that I feel like I'm missing something if I don't get my daily fix. Hi, my name is Brian and I have a problem...

There's always a browser in the background set to the forums.

Hmm...how much more time would be spent if the forums were formatted for Blazer.
