PM Shadowmite I think he has a ROM update for that one. Or maybe you just need to give her a full charge over night :].
But remember don't let PalmOne know about it cause it will void your warrentee on her.
Now if is too late, just call lockline and get a new one but beware you may get a refurb.

Come to think about it the Refurb s work out better anyway cause the have all the bugs worked out and the latest ROM.

ROTFLOL! This reminded me of the next story:

    "Dear Help Desk

I am desperate for some help.

I recently upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 and found that the new program takes up a lot of space and valuable resources.
This wasn't mentioned in the product brochure. In addition, Wife 1.0 installs itself into all other programs and launches during system initialisation where it monitors all other system activity.

Applications such as Boys Night Out 2.5 and Footie 5.3 no longer run and crash the system whenever selected. Attempting to operate Saturday Rugby 6.3 always fails but Saturday Shopping 7.1 runs instead.

I cannot seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background whilst attempting to run any of my favourite applications.
I am thinking about going back to Girlfriend 7.0 but de-install doesn't work on this program.

    Can you please help.
    Joe

    Dear Joe,

This is a very common problem resulting from a basic misunderstanding.

Many men upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0 thinking that Wife 1.0 is merely a
UTILITIES & ENTERTAINMENT program. Whereas Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM designed by its creator to run everything.
You are unlikely to be able to purge Wife 1.0 and still convert back to Girlfriend 7.0 as Wife 1.0 is not designed to do this and it is impossible to de-install, delete or purge the program files from the system once installed.
Some people have tried to install Girlfriend 8.0 or Wife 2.0 but have ended up with even more problems (see in manual under Alimony/Child Support and Solicitors Fees).

Having Wife 1.0 installed myself I recommend you keep it installed and deal with the difficulties as best you can. When any faults or problems occur, whatever you think has caused them, you must run the
C:\I-APOLOGISE program and avoid attempting to use the 'Esc' key.
It may be necessary to run C:\I-APOLOGISE a number of times but hopefully eventually the operating system will return to normal.

Wife 1.0 although a very high maintenance program can be very rewarding. To get the most out of it consider buying additional software such as Flowers 2.0 and Chocolates 5.0.

Do not under any circumstances install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3 as this is not a supported application for Wife 1.0 and the system will almost certainly crash.

    Best of luck
    Tech Support"

Have you tried a hard reset/reboot?

My fiance said if you buy a Treo 650, I'm leaving...

    I'm going to miss her.

You all are missing the sales opportunity of a lifetime....get 'em hooked too! I have been working on my wife for 2 years now, slowly getting her indoctrinated into the Palm world. I bought her a cheap Zire and showed her interesting programs that are relevant to her. We upgraded to a newer Zire which played music. Now she carries it everywhere!
I knew I was successful when she said "my purse has too much stuff in it, I wish I could merge my cell and palm." Then she tried my 600, which she has scoffed at since I purchased it. She is HOOKED, I almost didn't get it back.
I'll be getting a 650 (GSM of course) soon, and she has already called dibs on the 600.

I'm telling you, slow and steady, with lots of subtle persuasion is what really works. I've been married 16 years and I finally upgraded to:
Wife who is comfortable with technology 1.0
For those of you rare females who are already comfortable, my hats off to you. Unfortunately many of your gender just need a little encouragement to come to the dark side.

Just a little relationship advice (works with kids too):
Don't tell them what you're going to do, convince them it was their idea.
16 years of happy marriage to a non-techie and counting.
    Good luck all.

After telling my wife how much I spent on my Treo 650 and showing her how to use it, she told me that she will get a Treo 650 when the price goes down. I could barely hold back my giggling as I told her that was a great idea. All I could think about was giving her my 650 when the 700 comes out!

I wish my husband appreciated technology. Im the techie wife that keeps showing him all the cool things my 600 does and he just thinks its too much. I finally forced him to get a cell phone last year--I went and picked one up and told him it was free. I told him I couldnt take it back and he might as well use it. He is a wonderful man, but does not give a hoot about technology. He doesnt want my 600, but Im getting the 650 as soon as I can get my hands on one (GSM)!

I think I am headed down that road....funny thing is i am the one playing catch up...she already has a Tungsten E, when I mention buying a Treo the 1st thing outta her mouth is, "how much is it?". Now it might be worth noting that she received her Tungsten for Xmas 2003 from her brother. Glad I have a savings account that she doesn't know about!

And you don't think that she'll notice that thing in your hand you're spending so much more time with? Seriously though, you didn't say if she was the girlfriend or the wife. If it's the GF, then you could play the "I'm a grownup with a job and discressionary income, and this is what I wanted to get with it" card. If it's the wife, then you could either play the same card (because she's in the same boat with her shoes/Longaberger baskets/purses/jewelry/..., although explaining the savings account would become necessary), or you could play the "I've always wanted a new phone/PDA/digital camera/MP3 player/remote control/..., and I was smart enough to get it all in one device" card. With that one you could probably show that you saved some money in doing so.

But what do I know; I don't have that wife problem anymore...

My wife complains too, I'm amazed they they haven't started "Treo Haters Club", but as much as she hates my 650, she bought for me....so it's her fault.
