I'm waiting for the 650 to come out, but in the meantime I was wondering if spaces in the phone numbers that are in the contacts cause any problems in the current Treo as far as dialing is concerned?

The reason for this is that I have all my numbers in a TE right now, with format '123 456 789' for improved readability.
Obviously in my PDA this isn't an problem, and ideally I'd like to keep this format.

    Hi,

I do use spaces in my contacts phone numbers, and I had no problems using them for dialing.

I use not only spaces, but just about any text - for example, if a contact has 2 numbers, day and evening, I might put them in as:

    123 456 789 (day)
    987 654 321 (evening)

or someone might have an extension number:

    111 222 333 x999

All of these dial correctly (though I should point out that the extension is not automatically handled)

Cheers for this guys. I am on a T as well and waiting for the 650 and was wondering the same - was starting panic as I have over 500 contacts with both spaces and text. Many thanks
