During the working day I have my Treo placed on a desk beside a switched-off radio. At least once each day the radio makes a pip-pip-pip noise as though the Treo is about to receive a call or a message. However, nothing comes through. What causes these phantom noises? Should I be paranoid? Is my Treo sending or receiving secret signals? Or is this just normal interference? Or what?

If your phone is GSM, this should be just the phone relaying its current location (through the nearest base station) to the main server. The noise should increase in intensity when receiving a message or a call.

Yes, it is GSM. Thanks for your reply.
Don't pay for PC games that don't have a quicksave option. If developers can't be bothered, why should you?
