    Help,
Just got my new treo 600 and love it, but I want to get some new software for it and thought I would ask the user's here what s/w they used the most. Please let me know.

Also, I have the AT&T service, and am using Agendus as my contact manager as of now. But for some reason I am not able to reassign my Agendus to the "Calender" application button. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

mytreo.net have a download section with ~200 items. Many of the programs are designed just for the Treo 600.

    My essentials list would include, the following free apps;
    Pocket tunes - MP3 player
    Palmreader - for ebooks
Filez - a file manager for palm
Chatanywhere - free MSN messanger app
Movierec - A free app to record short videos
Soundrec - A free app to record sound
Pickem - Better version of camera app, allows zoom and removes blue spots
Always on - override automatic off
Bob's alarm - alarm, stop watch, timer
Clock pop - Popup clock in any app
Colorise - Change colors of palm OS
Palm file browser - access palm and sd card from windows
Handzipper lite - unzip downloaded files on Treo
Keycap600 - Helps with uppercase and special symbols
Notifyme - alarm goes on if your sd card falls out
Pacdude - free pac man clone
    Prison - free breakout clone
    Snap - capture screen images
soundoff - flashes a warning to remind you the sound is off
Treoallegro - Control LED and use volume keys for navigation
    VFSi - image viewer
Today - nice start up screen, I now use facer 2 (not free)

    The others I have are shareware or retail;

Msmount - run apps stored on memory card, free until August then???
Microquad - Best racing game on Treo
    Bejeweled - Must have game

My s/w is heavy on productivity...but it replaces my laptop almost 100%!
QuickOffice Premier ($50) but worth it. Native Word, Excel, PPnt
Snappermail ($50) but worth it....send and receive all attachments!
Pocket Tunes deluxe ($20) for deluxe...but Shoutcast streaming audio is worth it
PDAnet...turns your 600 into a pretty darn good modem for your laptop..EASY..HONEST
SplashPhoto..stores pix much better than the s/w 600 comes with.
Avantgo..couldn't live without the news daily
Verichat..lets me stay live with my assistant and colleagues anywhere in US via AOLIM or MSN Messenger
SMS messaging does the same as Verichat for my colleagues when they're not at their desks...goes straight to their cell. Updater for 600 flash rom has this right!
moVian is a VPN client for 600...lets me have access to my corporate network anywhere...INSIDE the firewall!
Alert Managar keeps reminding me of things when 600 system doesn't
KeyCaps 600 a MUST have to speed capitalization and number entry remarkably

Less crucial but fun....I have an IR keyboard when I need to do serious data entry on the road.
I have the Olive Tree Bible in English and Portuguese
I have an the great SlovoEd Italian-English dictionary
I have eReader and 3-4 books
    I have MovieRec (video)
    I have SoundRec (Audio)
Kinoma is nice if you like to watch video clips...tho MovieRec will do it uses .mvr format and that's inconvertible to .mpeg or .avi so far.

I use a 256k SD card and store 90 .mp3s, along with about 100+ pictures of my family.

    In short it's amazing!

Movierec files can be converted to avi files. Just use one of the decoder programs, I use the java decoder

I'm glad to hear the java version of Chiru's converter from .mvr to .avi works.
I tried the .exe version...and it did not. I have exchanged emails with Chiru several times to let him know what happens.

Tell me about the java version....is it hard to use?
I understand that even with that version you still don't get real .avi...or .mpeg but rather the video part separate from the audio.
    This that what you've found?

Correct... there currently is no way to create audio/video avi.

Congratulations on your new treo (oops ... Treo).

To assign the calendar button to Agendus, open Agendus and hit the Menu key. Go to Options, then Preferences and from the drop down box, select Buttons. You should see a screen with 4 big dots. Select the second from the left and put a checkmark in the Assign to Agendus box. Select Apply and then OK and you should be good to go.

Happy trails finding out all the neat things a Treo can do!!!
