I was down to 6 but just did a big cleanup and am back to 11. Lots of stuff stored on my 2 SD cards.

12.6MB. My treo seems to run faster ans smoother when I keep it light. I load all I can on the sd card.

13.1 (mainly because I use ZLauncher to launch my apps from my sd card)

no sd cards. i have plenty of apps and download email, but i just keep what i absolutely need. i like to send my emails to my other address as well so i only keep what's pertinent.

15.5 MB free - use ZLauncher to put almost everything on the card, keep the HS Email files small by backing them up and restoring them frequently, keep most of the camera pictures on the card, etc.

How do you move them? Are you using the treo mail program? I really need to do this.

    Thanks

Wow! And I thought I was ridiculous.
I had 3M at one point and my boyfriend thought that I was insane.
Of course this was before I knew how to create short cuts and so forth.
Now I have 11.4M after I moved nearly everything to my card.

I found out that the pics you take with the camera can take up a lot of the RAM space so I move all of them to the Card...one downfall, if you want to use them as your wallpaper then the pic(s) needs to remain in RAM.

6.5 MB remaining for me. Damn that Java.

After reading what everyone else had here, I realized my internal memory was pitiful. I remembered reading a thread here on creating more space. So I just deleted and reinstalled my email and I'm now up to 17mb!

Thanks TC for the awesome tip!

1.2mb on ram. I have most of the apps on the SD card. But about 12-15 apps (some are large) that I use often I keep on ram so they open quickly.

2.2. simply not enough. So many files must reside internally even though I can put the apps themselves on the cards. The lack of memory is a serious problem and makes web browsing a pain. Geekymom, do you know the link to that thread? If there's any way I can move more to the card and still have it work, I'll do it!

I do not know exactly but it was this week if that helps. BTW, I'm thinking if you have FileZ you should be able to move/copy the files to your SD card.

If PalmOne is going to continue making Treos with such a low amount of internal space, they could atleast include software that made it easier to work with SD cards. First we have to buy the SD cards just to have the space we need. Then we have to figure out a software package to use with the cards.

An easy to use file management app should come built into the Treo. I can't think of many other Operating Systems that don't have an easy method to manage files built in.

I range between 17 and 20 but I'm fairly new at this. I've had the Treo less than a month. I also use filez, zlauncher and MSMount to keep everything I can off of RAM. I have a really slow Lexar (SanDisk manufactured) SD card so I can't do any voice/pics/video to the card.

    RAM is my preeecciousssss!

I thought 24MB would have been enough but the 600 needs lots more. I wonder if anyone might offer a RAM upgrade at some time.

What bothers me most is that most software refuses to work from the SD card. You can get past this by pulling a few tricks (MSMount, Zlauncher) but it's a kludge and does not work for everything. The one thing I miss about PocketPC/CE is the file system. CE is a pig of an OS and most CE devices suck batteries like a $5 ***** (quick finish and no guarantee of a happy ending) but PALM needs to do more to keep the filesystem clean and usuable. They need to virtualize the whole thing so that apps can automatically be fooled into thinking they are running from RAM.
