I was trying to find a person at TreoCentral to send this to but decided to post here. If you know anyone at TreoCentral please forward to them...Start at bottom

What a bunch of rockheads you are....uninformed, ignorant, don't even talk to each other. You may not realize that in the software business once you build it the incremental cost to keep a customer happy is exactly ZERO dollars and ZERO cents. YOU are the people who sent me the messages copied in below. Why would I not think that you were still making and supporting the product we are discussing? Why did he not send me back to TreoCentral the first time? I will, at the very least, make a phone call to the highest officer I can reach at TreoCentral to let them know how stupid this all has been. You have invested the time of about 4 different people and a few dollars to tell me I cannot have something that costs you NOTHING in place of something that I paid for that is and was worth essentially NOTHING....

HERE ARE SOME OF THE MESSAGES PROVING YOU WRONG. I HAVE MORE..... Oh and Marcus was just fine to deal withÖ.

    Dave,

We will have a Treo 600 compatible version out shortly.

Whatís the deal with the Treo 600? Not compatible yet? It loaded on the new device and is registered but every time I try to play copy or move anything it shuts off and back on. Thanks,Dave.

Try to the attached version, it is the latest beta.

    Thanks,

    Marcus

    Sir,

As Pete said, the TC Ringer was for the TREO 300 and does not support the TREO 600. We had considered releasing a version for the 600 but did not. We do not have anything that works with the Treo 600 and I cannot recommend any other program that would. You should contact TreoCentral (www.treocentral.com) if you have any other questions. They were the original distributors of the TC Ringer - we were the developers. SOrry for the inconvenience.

    Regards,
    Catherine

In looking at your (long) post, it appears you are upset because you bought TC Ringer for the Treo 300, and it was buggy. Then you bought a Treo 600, and the program didn't work at all. Because it was buggy, you feel entitled to a refund, right?

Did you try it before you bought it for your Treo 300? If it didn't work for you, why did you buy it? Some programs I try out don't work for me because of (I'm guessing) conflicts with other programs. If the trial version doesn't work, I just don't buy it.

I have a copy of TC Ringer for the Treo 600. When the T600 first came out, I wrote to them before TC Ringer was discontinued. Someone sent me a copy of it for free. It works, but I started using lightwav instead.

light wav is the same as TCRinger but on crack! it allows you to us MP3 as ringtones, and you can assign pictures or movies for caller ID. it is well worth the price IMHO.

I'd be happy to share. email me: vocaleze@earthlink.net

Lightwav is a great product. It allows you to use mp3s as well as midi files. You can also assign photos (strangely, not jpg files like the camera takes). It's a hot product.
