Jason is adding encryption to CardBackup as well. It's another excellent backup program.

I don't know if I'm asking too much here but here I go. Is there a program that will encrypt all data on the card if it is popped out of the treo preventing all access to it from either another Treo or a SD card reader? I would be willing to deal with latency if I could get this. Today on the way back from the Boston Treo Roadshow I lost my card somewhere on the T train and I'm worried that a smart person got their hands on it. Now I wish I had a program that would encrypt alllll data on the card.

Or another Idea is to create a lock on the card so that only a Treo with my Hotsync ID tryies to use it the will only see the avalible space. And only the Treo can read it, No stand alone SD reader can see it but Card Export could... Does anyone have this program or am I going to have to dust off the Palm Compiler and go at this myself?

I've always liked Onlyme. I just installed it on my Treo 650 but got a warning that Onlyme hasn't been tested with this Palm OS. I think I have the most recent verson of Onlyme, ver. 5.08. Has anyone had any trouble using Onlyme on the Tro 650?

It is already built into the 600GSM - hopefully it carried over to the 650, otherwise numerous posters on this thread are suffering from brain lapses. You cna specify when it locks, how long to wait, if you press a predetermined key, etc.
Get that checked out by a doctor, people.
Either that, or mods, regulate the GD threads, this incessant chatter is useless.

I've been using v5.10 beta on my 650 for the past three months without any significant complaints.

    From ThirdType:

RescoViewer (a picture viewer) can encrypt pictures. I secure my family photos etc. since they are on the card.
How can I enable encryption with Resco Viewer? I am using Resco Viewer 2.21 and I can't find anything that will encrypt my pictures. It can only hide them.

I was just scrolling through the posts to see if anyone had mentioned Applock.. Love it. Does what you need, doesn't seem to interfere with anything. I've had it since day one of my Treo and I love it. I lock certain apps when people want to see my phone, or just when it's left unattended. Pretty great, I think it was like $15 bucks.

Just installed GridLock (free) on my new 700p. Worked like a charm on my Treo 300 and works just as well on the 700p. I don't like the built-in lock on the 700p because it doesn't show the time. GridLock is arguably more secure, too, since it uses a visual pattern rather than alpha numeric.

Resurrecting old thread - more concerned than ever about the amount of data I'm carrying around on this thing. Just installed GridLock (free) on my new 700p. Check out Warden from Corsoft. www.corsoft.com

I've been using it for a couple of months on my T650 and like it (don't know if they support the 700P yet). You can have a clock displayed with it. You can set a lock time, manually lock, remotely lock, remotely wipe the Treo, restrict incoming calls when locked. The next build is supposed to have SD card wipe built in, too.

It will display "call owner", a separate "reward if found" message, and an ICE list. Calling 911 is always enabled.

    Nifty, configurable, and stable.

I'm supposidly using the security built into the Treo 650 along with Butler, which I need for other things. The only thing is, IT'S NOT WORKING!. I have it set to lock after 2 hours, but I'll wake up in the morning and I'm able to do whatever I want with the thing. As far as wiping the card/Treo, I'm a bit scared to do it. It's been running great, except for a reset yesterday while searching the web (not really sure what happened there) and I don't want to mess anything up.
