The current method of accessing the Shortcut character (:shortcut: ) is laughable as a shortcut. I plan on adding either Graffiti Anywhere or Jot as a solution. However, I would rather use the keyboard if there was a quicker way.

Does anybody know of (or interested in creating) an app or hack that would allow a user to alter the keyboard (i.e.: the shift function of a character, etc.) to a frequently used character? For example, I would rarely require the "+" sign (shift-W) and would love to change that to the Shortcut character.

I agree with you. What kind of shortcut takes 6 keypresses to create? (That's 6 presses just to create the shortcut character!)

    Ditto that.
