I just realized that when Cingular says: “New & Existing Customers Treo 600 starting at $499!,” it actually means that for new customers T600 is $499.00. But current customers have to fork out $699.00. Outch, that’s no way to treat an older customer. Interestingly enough, AT&T treats existing customers like new ones: T600 will cost them $499. Sprint PCS will charge you for a T600 without activation $599.00, while it will cost you $399.00 for T600 after service credit (w/ service activation).
Anybody wants to guess T-Mobile’s price scheme?

T-Mo will probably charge $499 for new users; $599 for existing customers... Just making a conversation

If you're willing to enter "porting hell" for a few weeks. Tell your carrier you'll leave unless they match the better price or offer you a service credit to stay.

They really don't want to lose customers.....
