Yes, I'm still *waiting* for the T-Mobile branded versioni. I placed order on 11/24 for $399 Cingular upgrade. Hoping T-Mobile will have its version ready during the 14-day *trial* period that I'll be using the Cingular version with my T-Mobile SIM.

Yep... there are probably quite a few people waiting. Quietly and not so quietly

Yeah, me too. Actually, I am happy that TMO is waiting, seeing the few problems that have emerged speaker phone and a few others, maybe those problems will be resolved by the time TMO gets it. TMO is probably still realing from the 270 radio/display failures. I wish all the Cingular & AT&T early adopters the best of luck, but for my self, after going through 7 treo 270's, I don't mind waiting a few months more.

I switched to sprint...Couldn't pass up the Amazon deal. Now I am just waiting for them to ship...

Well I guess, the spectulation of the 24th slipped, and
the 'end of november' has been hearsay also. I will
never switch back to sprint, just awful customer
service. Figured I'd stick with my 180 till the 600
was available, but I think now I may look for a different
convergance device after all. Maybe the delay is avioding
    the buyers remorse for some.

Yup, still waiting.... and not happy about it at all

The only reason that I haven't went to Sprint is that I have seen first hand how bad the PCS (CDMA) signal is within large buildings (e.g. Chicago) from friends that have the T300 and other Sprint phones.

Otherwise, the less expensive and faster data service is very appealing. I won't wait forever for T-Mobile!

No, It isn't a huge concern of mine. I live in a rural area of Connecticut and from what I have read, number portability is not available yet.

i hope amazon will have the same deal for the t600 for t-mobile. I cant see myself being limited for data plans using the t600, which is one of main reasons why i'm sticking to t-mobile and their unlimited one. Also i'm confident in that t-mobile has their reasons why they haven't released the t600. I'll just wait and see!

That's the thing - I would of stuck with TMobile because I like their plans and the customer service is very good. However, I do not get a signal at home. My wife has verizon and she gets 4 bars! From what I have read and been told by Sprint Customer Service, Sprint will roam on to Verizon's network. This being the case, we can now consider getting rid of our home phone.

Utimatley, if TMobile announces the Treo and I can get it to me quicker than Amazon & Sprint, then Tmobile will remain my provider...

Add two more to the waiting list... me and my friend are both holding on to our 180's and hoping the T-Mobile 600 comes out by the holidays. I'm not expecting a better deal than the $399 upgrade through handspring.

Still waiting for T-Mobile. Probably should've jumped on the Cingular to use with T-Mobile, but didn't. I use the browser a bunch, and the data plans on Cingular and AT&T are prohibitive. I also travel overseas 4-5 times a year, and while my current solution (SIM card which allows my Sprint number to ring a GSM phone while in Europe) "works", it costs about $400 each week that I'm overseas, and I don't have data overseas. So I'm waiting for T-Mobile, and planning to switch my Sprint number over when I can get a device that I know will be supported.

I'm a recent TMO convert mainly because I wanted the GSM 600. After seeing the 24th come and go without the offer from TMO, and back orders of the Cingular at Handspring.....I went to Ebay and purchased a Cingular unlocked phone brand new for $650.

The person I made the purchase from had loads of positive interactions on Ebay and mine was no different. Brand new phone, popped my sim in and it works. Just waiting for the internet service to kick in as I just ordered it. Anyway, for those of you who don't want to wait anymore, there are 600s being sold on Ebay for fairly reasonable prices. Considering I don't qualify for any upgrades (I just had a plain old Handspring Prism), and I'm not a new customer to TMO, I didn't think it was a bad deal.

Here's a link to Hiptop Forums discussing whether "anyone using Tmobile SIM card in a Cingular Treo 600?". This is is a real concern for Sidekick users whose SIMs are tied into the Danger backend service to access data (email, address book, calendar, etc).

I'm going to call T-Mobile Customer Care today to find out how the SideKick to Treo 600 switcheroo will work with SIM I'm using in my SideKick.

I'm another poor soul who is waiting for the T-Mobile Treo 600.

My question is: Is it worth the wait?

How much bandwidth do you actually need per month on the Treo 600? It seems that the biggest difference between T-Mobile and AT&T pricing is the unlimited data, but how much do you really need?

    T-Mobile
600 anytime minutes; unlimited nights and weekends $39.95
    Unlimited Data: $19.95

    AT&T
600 anytime minutes; unlimited nights and weekends $39.95
    8 MB per month: $19.95
    (Unlimited Data: $64.95)

Does anyone have any ideas to what light, normal, and heavy usage is in MB for wireless data?

Depends - perhaps you may want to use your treo as a wireless modem for your laptop??
