I have a brand new sim card in my 270. Is there any way or an app that will let me transfer phone numbers from my phone to the new sim? Thanks!!!

The built-in SIM Book app will allow you to store (or restore) your speed dial numbers on the sim, but it will not copy your whole phonebook if that is what you wanted. I believe their may be some 3rd party apps to do that, but I'm am not familiar with any.

    Hope this helps,

I'm curious as to why you want to store numbers on your SIM.

Do you use the SIM in another phone ? Do you do this in case you lose the data in your Treo ?

Yes. I work in construction and don't want to ruin my Treo. So on days when I am doing really dirty or dangerous work, I swap the sim out and insert it into my Ericsson T28.

Any GSM phone (or GSM Treo) will allow you to do that. That's the beauty of GSM

    I see.

I personally don't know of any software which would let you dump contacts from your 270 to a SIM but it is a great idea.

It's a shame there isn't something in the PalmDesktop itself - like drag'n'drop a contact to a SIM icon. Then when you HotSync, those numbers end up on the SIM...

On the Treo 600, there is an option in Contacts called 'import from SIM' but alas, there is no 'export to SIM'

    Hi all,

unfortunately so far I was able to do it only using another phone (in my case it was Nokia 6310). I exported contacts from Palm Desctop to text file and imported it into Nokia PC Suite. Than I synced Nokia with my PC and transferred all contacts to SIM.

    Hope it helps,

    Vitaliy
