I frequently lend my Treo 270 to my mother because she likes to use the speakerphone to talk to people. Recently, she has been encountering a problem where the phone suddenly shuts off after about 10-15 minutes of talking with the speakerphone. When I try to turn the phone back on, it is frozen at calling screen with the battery indicator showing extremely low voltage. I soft reset the Treo and when it comes back up, the battery inicator show relatively healthy battery voltage (about 75% or more). This seems to always happen lately when the speakerphone is in use for more than 10 minutes or so. But otherwise, the 270 performs perfectly normally.

Has anybody else experienced this problem? Are there any hacks that can cause this problem?
