A thread for reference, for those of us who are taking the time to archive all HP-hosted files and documentation.

I will be updating this quite frequently, but for right now, here's a spreadsheet of all publicly available webOS doctors, URLs cross-referenced with MD5 checksums (for testing files after download, to know if they are valid)

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

The first 33 doctors have been marked in red, because they are gone, and "<>" is a placeholder for missing URLs. There are also two files that have been missed by whoever compiled the WebOS Doctor Versions - WebOS Internals checksums list, and those are marked in blue. I hope someone here can verify the blue checksums against their own copy, because i really don't want to download twice. After downloading the whole set of 1.x free apps and all of the doctors and some SDK-related files, the month's total being around 20GB, my Verizon unlimited 3G is getting throttled to near-dialup speeds and it would take 45 minutes to download a doctor again.

Tomorrow, i should be able to post a SDK-and-tool URL/checksum spreadsheet, all the files i will or already have on hand and have personally tested. In the next few days, i will also post a database of Catalog apps, with metadata, checksums and "ownership" status, to be updated daily. Big thanks to the member here who has generously offered to host the DB

Anyway, i hope you enjoy it and find it useful

    [Edit]

Updated the Doctors spreadsheet to include SHA1 checksums. It appears i'm done with that one, and getting ready to post the "tookits" spreadsheet with the SDKs and other useful tools

You're doing some impressive work here. As someone who owns several webOS devices, two of which yet to be fully used, i really appreciate this valiant effort to build a solid foundation for future, community based, webOS support. Thanks.

So basically someday, when my frankenpre goes kaput and i build its replacement, and then when that one eventually dies -- I can still activate and use my Veer! Maybe by then I'll have a fully functional version of luneOS for my TP...

    ... Long live webOS!!

P.s. you should be trying to schedule these downloads when you're on free wifi. Particularly the newer high speed Google services replacing ATT at many Starbucks. Working at 3g can be frustrating once they "catch on" to the heavy use. Back when i was using 10g a month on sprint i suspected they started throttling me too.

    Thanks for compiling this!
I started downloading any variants that might be needed by my modest stable of webOS hardware this morning and had to put the project aside after grabbing several Pre, Pre2, Pre3 and TP doctors and just returned to the project and find that Firefox won't resolve the downloads.help.palm.com domain any longer...
    I hope it's a momentary hiccup!

Yeah. The "momentary hickup" was the result of HP transferring the files from their in-house servers over to Akamai. The files are still available on the old and new servers, but for an hour or so, DNS requests for downloads.help.palm.com resolved to nothing. Same for palm.com, while developer.palm.com resolved correctly and was accessible the whole time.

BTW, the entire set of doctors is 52 files, totaling about 10.8GB, and later today, i'll make sure to update spreadsheet with a set of SHA1 checksums

[Edit] Now it's the same thing again, the DNS entries for some *.palm.com domains have been deleted

Try adding 63.80.4.201 or 195.22.200.42 to your hosts file for downloads.help.palm.com

And if you need other stuff like the SDK, here's another address:

    23.4.17.24 cdn.downloads.palm.com
