Today I got my fourth replacement Pixi, another dead touchscreen. I couldn't log in to my Palm Profile so I created a new one just to get by and contact customer service as soon as I got home.

What follows is my chat with a Justin, soooo helpful!

    11:25*PM**

You are unable to login to your Palm profile. Correct?
    11:25*PM**
    William Torres:*
    correct.
    11:26*PM**
    Justin:*
Are you able to login to your original Palm Profile using the weblink : www.palm.com/palmprofile
    11:26*PM**
    Justin:*
    ?
    11:27*PM**
    William Torres:*
    let me check.
    11:27*PM**
    William Torres:*
    Yes, I'm in.
    11:28*PM**
    William Torres:*
    No sign of any Pixi.
    11:28*PM**
    William Torres:*
    just my TouchPad.
    11:28*PM**
    Justin:*
Which email ID did you use?
    11:29*PM**
    William Torres:*
    williamtorres@________.com
    11:30*PM**
    Justin:*
    Let me check.
    11:32*PM**
    Justin:*
    Okay.
    11:32*PM**
    Justin:*
What's the serial number of your new device?
    11:33*PM**
    William Torres:*
Oh, I'm sorry, there's no Pixi because this one is registered with a new profile.
    11:35*PM**
    William Torres:*
The serial for this new device is: XXXXXXXXXXXX
    11:35*PM**
    Justin:*
    Okay.
    11:35*PM**
    Justin:*
    Please give me few minutes.
    11:35*PM**
    William Torres:*
    ok
    11:38*PM**
    Justin:*
    Thanks for waiting.
    11:39*PM**
    Justin:*
As you've signed to your Touchpad with your original Palm profile, you won't be able to use it again to sign in to it.
    11:41*PM**
    Justin:*
Wiliam, you need to create a different profile for any new device.
    11:43*PM**
    William Torres:*
well...until today I had two devices, the Pixi and the TouchPad using the same profile. Why would that be any different now?
    11:44*PM**
    Justin:*
With the v1 profile, you can login to Touchpad. Now it becomes v2 profile. V2 profile cannot be used on Palm devices again.
    11:46*PM**
    William Torres:*
what does the v stands for?
    11:48*PM**
    Justin:*
It is just a normal term I used to indicate version.
    11:49*PM**
    William Torres:*
    ok...so much for Synergy!
    11:50*PM**
    William Torres:*
So, what about all the apps that I paid for?
    11:51*PM**
    Justin:*
You can use them on Touchpad for sure.
    11:51*PM**
    Justin:*
    Give me a moment.
    11:55*PM**
    Justin:*
I can guide you through performing Erase apps and data again. Login again after I import a backup snapshot.
    11:57*PM**
    Justin:*
    Open Device Info
    11:57*PM**
    William Torres:*
    ok, let's try.
    11:57*PM**
    Justin:*
Tap Reset Options, and then tap Erase Apps & Data twice. The device may take a few minutes to reset.
    11:58*PM**
    William Torres:*
    restarting now...
    11:58*PM**
    Justin:*
    Okay.
    12:02*AM**
    William Torres:*
    ok, set up screen now.
    12:03*AM**
    Justin:*
    Please hold on.
    12:04*AM**
    Justin:*

    12:05*AM**
    William Torres:*

    12:06*AM**

    12:08*AM**
    William Torres:*
    ok, seems to be working...
    12:12*AM**
    William Torres:*
passwords entered for email, fb, etc. Now restarting...
    12:12*AM**
    Justin:*

    12:17*AM**
    William Torres:*

    12:18*AM**
    Justin:*
Try to download any paid app that you know of.
    12:19*AM**
    Justin:*
Here's one app: Angry Birds for Pixi.
    12:20*AM**
    William Torres:*
Yes! I can download them for free!
    12:20*AM**
    William Torres:*
I mean, I already paid for them, haha!
    12:20*AM**

    12:23*AM**

    12:24*AM**
    William Torres:*
Yes! When can we have the Pre3 in the US?
    12:25*AM**
    Justin:*
We don't have any information about it right now.
    12:25*AM**
    Justin:*

    12:27*AM**
    William Torres:*
Well, I guess we're good to go. First you told me it wasn't possible but then you made it work. Thanks so much!
    12:29*AM**
    Justin:*
It shouldn't be possible, but I researched on your issue again for you. Thought importing a snapshot may work. It worked.
    12:29*AM**
    Justin:*
    You're welcome.
    12:29*AM**
    Justin:*
Let me provide you with the Chat session ID number XXXXXXXXX as a reference for this case. Is there anything else I can help you with?
    12:31*AM**
    William Torres:*
That's it for now. Excellent work Justin, don't tell your boss, haha! Take care!
    12:33*AM**
    Justin:*
    You too.
    12:33*AM**

    Hi Sumanth,

Just to note, this thread isn't the proper place for this. However, I can provide you some information for your problem.

Unfortunately, HP has discontinued the App Catalog. Here is some more information:

To be able to use webOS devices, at least phones, going forward, please read these two articles:

    Best,
    Donald
