Just now I was surfing on Handspring's site and came across this:

    http://support.handspring.com/esuppo...olutionId=8854

    Wow.

According to the Handspring site, this is only for GSM (non-GPRS) Treos.

GPRS is GSM. What they say is:

    1) This is for GSM Treos (not for CDMA - Treo 300)
    2) This app should not be used in updated Treos (so, in a way, you're correct)

You're basically reiterating the same thing that geoffrey said!
    And GPRS is not GSM......

Why shouldn't it be used in "updated" Treos? Mine is updated, and when I recently had problems with the Radio, Handspring support emailed the files to me.

It depends on who reads it, I guess. My first impression from geoffrey was that GPRS and GSM Treos were different units. But then again, I was half-asleep

GPRS is a packet switching protocol which "piggybacks" the regular circuit switched GSM networks. You can't have GPRS without GSM.

    I'm just messing with you!
What I implied from your post is that GPRS IS NOT GSM. They are not one in the same. It's technology "piggybacks" within the GSM network but it is not GSM.
    Right?
