    Hey guys,

I'm wondering if there is any manufacturer that produces a data cable for the Treo to a notebook, so that we can use the modem part of the Treo?

The reason I ask, is that, I do not have a landline phone, so I cannot fax documents with my home PC. I figured I could use my notebook with my cellular phone(Treo).

    Thanks in advanced,

    Stan

    Hi,

have you ever thought about using the built-in IR port to connect your laptop to the Treo?

I am not sute if there is amodem driver available for Windows to use the Treo as a modem, but this might be a (cableless) work-around.

    Bye, Marcus

    Hi Stan,

Kevin from Handspring here. Just wanted to try to answer your question. Although Treos arenít shipped with the right software to allow you to use them as modems, there are third-party applications available that can make this possible. Iíve included a link with more details:

Can I use a wireless Treo as a modem for laptops and other devices?

    Hope that helps!
