Am I the only one reading this getting queasy? Russian and Chinese programmers are notorious for creating some of the more sophisticated attacks, viruses, and trojans.

I'm not sure I want webOS to be a familiar place for these folks. But even more I don't want a bunch of corporate programs with HP branding to show up and end up having sophisticated backdoors or other means of compromising our data inside these trusted apps.

I'm right there with you Unclevanya, as much as I hate to say it.

I'm sure HP will make sure any program with their branding on it will be secure. Heck, even people inside Palm right now have to get approval from a whole bunch of different people before pushing what for homebrew folks is a minor fix (check DanPLC's help topic in his subforum to see).

Also, Chinese hackers got Android to run on the Pre. They're plenty familiar with webOS.

    You're just too paranoid.

There's no glory in creating viruses and trojans for poor little WebOS yet. I hope one day WebOS is considered large enough and important enough to go after

I remember good old days with Treo 600 and Motion apps, I reviewed some of their software and guy PMed me tomorrow to appoint meeting. Thing is, they ware located same as me in Belgrade Serbia and not US.
