The Uplinq 2011 conference, hosted by Qualcomm on June 1-2 will take place at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego.

I am trying to figure it out when the webOS TouchPad and Pre3 launches will be release and where . At this event or at the HP Discovery 2011 in Las Vegas June 6-10 or after both. ?

Some quotes from the Press Release:

"Qualcomm Incorporated the leading developer and innovator of 3G and next-generation wireless technologies, products and services, today announced the general session keynote speakers for the Uplinq® 2011 conference, hosted by Qualcomm on June 1-2 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. "Among the areas Uplinq 2011 session programming will cover are Android, Windows® Phone 7, Brew MP™, webOS, tablets, multimedia, Snapdragon™, mobile Web technologies and content monetization."

“Uplinq is designed to provide technical and business content and networking opportunities tuned to the needs of the key players within the wireless ecosystem,” said Bill Davidson, senior vice president of Global Marketing and Investor Relations at Qualcomm. “These industry leaders will share their insight and vision for the future of wireless, and attendees will have the opportunity to learn about development and monetization opportunities across multiple operating systems.” (NFC mobile payments ? )

That's not what he said; this covers it better:

"He said webOS was designed to scale to several different device families, which he company plans to build into several future product lines. He also said the company does not plan to license out the software, preferring to build its own devices for its platform, but added that H-P might consider looking at “one or two special companies” that could bring something unique to the platform.

“Our model is not to be in the licensing business. There is tremendous strength in building the whole ecosystem,” he said.
