    Hi there everyone,

I've noticed on my Treo 300 that the upper right corner of the screen is considerably brighter than the rest of the display.

The rest of the display is still nice and bright but I was wondering if this strange inconsistency in brightness was normal and if others had noticed it.

    Thanks,
    Josh

On my Treo 270, I've got a darker spot in the middle screen (highly visible when I use PalmReader with the Invert Sreen on).

It can be annoying at time, but I learned to live with it!

Handspring put the backlight in the upper right hand corner of the color treos. That's why there's a hot spot there. I'm sure they used only one backlight to save costs and well as to save users power. Still, the screen is one of the brightest on the market and goes very easy on batteries. After a while you get used to it and don't notice it's there. All backlit screens have hotspots. Check it out the next time you're at BestBuy or Staples.
