Is there a cable for the treo's that will let you connect to a router?

You would need the serial cable from Handspring:

I have never tried this mind you. Just a result of a little searching.

I've had ptelnet (v0.6) crash on me, telnet (v2.2) and TTYmaster sit there and do nothing at all or, alternatively, crash on me. Powerterm also sits there and won't connect. (At least it doesn't hang my Treo...)

Anyone know a) how to get these to work, or b) know of a client that is Treo compatible?

It crashes when trying a serial connection, or any connection (i.e. TCP/IP)?

I just tested ptelnet to read mail on a remote server (via wireless) and it didn't crash. Normally I use tgSSH to do this, but I had to try ptelnet after reading your note.
