I have a Treo 270 with OneTouch Mail
    Email reception is OK
    Web browsing is OK
But since 2 days, I cannot send mails
When I try to , everything works fine (connection / password / ...) until I get this message:
    "Send failed - A604"
I tried with to ISP POP3 and SMTP accounts and it is the same, so I think it commes from my Tréo or from Onetouch mail.
Could you be of some help?

Check out the following link from Handspring Support Sight:

This should help with the A604 error that you are getting.

In my opinion, here is the right reason of the A604 error:

Are you dialing into one Internet Service Provider (ISP) and trying to send emails from a different server?
Many ISPs do not allow users to send email from a connection other than their own (the ISP's, that is). Contact your ISP and find out if you can use their connection to send SMTP emails. If you can, enter this information as the incoming server; keep your email service provider's server as the outgoing server.
Thanks to millerhifi for the URL.

It was exactly my problem. MY GSM provider in France is SFR and my email provider is FREE.FR. But FREE doesn't allow users to send email through its server if they are connected to Internet using another provider connection (Am i clear ??? ).

The solution is to ask your GSM provider if he can provide you an email address or to use the parameters (phone number, login, password) of your ISP to connect your Treo to Internet. But you have to know that the 2nd solution is more expansive because those calls are generaly not included into your GSM rate.
