Besides the fact that the HP deal isn't expected to close until closer to July 31, that just reeks of wishful thinking.

I was also told it would have an 8MP Camera with a 2 LED Flash. No word on the front facing camera though. I'm going to assume that it does NOT have one, since WebOS will not have API's available until Late August / Early September for the Mic.

FYI: It will NOT be a Pre 2, It'll "finish" the line up of WebOS phones until HP decides whether to continue development of their smartphone division. Sprint will also be clearing it's inventory of the Palm Pre and Pixi, and will get remaining shipments of the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus.

Dude, where are you hearing this from?

Sounds reasonable. Would be nice if it happened, and this would be the third source from which we've heard early July as the announcement date. Clearly they will want to wait until after the stock holders vote.

If I told you, I'd have to kill you metaphorically. First off, it's from someone inside Palm. Sprint Executives and top management already have tested this phone. If it proves to be false, which I highly doubt it will be, than boo me. I didn't even ask for this information, though I had planning on moving to the EVO.

Ah! Hope it's a glass screen. Thanks NitOxxYs, a month we'll see if you are right.

I was only told a IPS display similar to the iPhone 4. The guy from Palm is ****ed because he said that they decided on the IPS display first. How he knows that Apple didn't before him is beyond me. I know from the track record they have with their display manufacturing, I'd say they'd probably move to a different type of screen. I was told to wait, because I love WebOS, but wanted something hardware-wise better.
