There's been a lot of talk about always-on e-mail. But what about Web access? Will either GPRS or CDMA 1x give you always-on Web access?

Will you be able to start up Blazer or Eudora Web and immediately download Web pages, or will you have to dial up or log into an ISP as you have to do now with a Treo or Visorphone?

As for GPRS, the connection can stay open as long as you do not need to use the phone for voice calls, and it does not matter what kind of data you transmit over it, be it mail, news, or even http traffic. Sorry, I do not know anything about CDMA at all on the other hand, since it is clerly legacy and will never be available in my area.
