Just thought about letting you know that we just released our new application, iDial.

iDial allows you to dial a phone number from native and most third-party applications.

There is also an option to save the phone number in the Address Book.

iDial requires the free X-Master and sells for 6.95. Registered users receive free technical support and free updates for the lifetime of the product.

More info and trial download at http://www.proxyminds.com

Is there any plan to make it compatible with Vindigo?
I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I could dial directly Vindigo.

Will it work with the Sprint phone?
My Treo has more memory than I do.

    - Vindigo does not support text selection so it cannot be supported.

    - Sprint phone is not supported at the moment.

Open the preferences screen as described in the readme file, then select "Keyboard". X-Master will tell you to restart. To restart iDial, deselect the iDial checkbox on the X-Master screen and then select it again.

After you get it working... may have been my fault, this thing is great!

Gonna go pay for it right now.

    Looks cool!

What would even be cooler though was if you could find a way to implement a hack that worked like a smart tag (unluckiyl from microsoft). It would underline any phone number in text on the Palm OS screen, and than holding down the stylus on it would dial it! (or launch a window askign to be dialed)

That would be great. IMO, iDial is a good idea, but it's still too many steps to do a "quick" action. I like shortcuts that actually take less time (and effort).
