Has anyone used a TREO with a serial cable to configure a router or switch... or done any kind of terminal emulation?

If so, can you use the phone at the same time, preferably the speakerphone? It would be very handy to be able to configure a network device using the mini-keyboard, and making a call at the same time. I don't think it is currently possible, but it would be nice.

Does anyone know the pin-out on the TREO connector? I'm assuming that the serial portion is using the TTY protocol as the Visors do.

Is anybody selling just the connectors alone.

    Thanks in advance.

Handspring has a big PDF file listing all the tech specs of Treo here called: Handspring Treo Product Technical Specification and Developement Guide (0.91)

I recall that MarkSpace made some special cables and also the Online application to deal with the odd TTL levels coming from Visors.

Thanks for pointing out the .PDF file. This answers most of my questions. As of yesterday, MarkSpace does not sell, nor do they indicate that they plan to carry, cables for the TREO.

    Thanks again
