    noob question...

    When apps (or any software) is release/updated it get a release number. Does the developer decide the number or is it automatic? If I dont make sense here is what I mean:

    I see apps released like 0.0.1 > 0.0.2 > 0.1.0 > 1.0.0

    HOW ARE THERE NUMBERS DETERMINED?? can someone smart please simplify this for me??

    Developer makes it up.

    Generally the order of importance is decided by the number. The first number changes, major update, usually huge new features. Second number is minor feature updates generally, and the last number changing is usually bugfixes or things like that.

    But it can be done however the developer wants.
