I've done the 600/650/680 trek. Stayed with GSM because I need my phone to work outside the US.

My biggest irritation with GSM has been the interference with other electronic devices. I've gotten pretty tired of hearing the clack.clack.clack over whatever speakers the phone seems to be next to.

It's time for a new phone, and I'm considering the Treo Pro or heaven help me an iPhone. My question:

If the phone's in 3G mode, does the noise go away?

I've been looking at the dual radio phones that verizon has as a way to avoid the interference at least when I'm in the states, but am not quite sure I want to go with the Storm or Saga.

I have a Bold that doesn't have that problem unless I am in an EDGE only area.
