Looks like Palm did a major update to their web site! Getting ready for new OS and products and more user traffic, hopefully!

...and removing some of the "Standalone" in GPS references following formal queries and adding a second new set of notes: "GPS coverage not available in all areas at all times."

Good for new buyers, not good for all 800w buyers until now who considered the prominently advertised but not disabled Standalone GPS feature in part of their purchase decision

And, as a result, I'm grinning like an *****.

Damned unfortunate. It's even been something of a rollercoaster ride for me, as someone who doesn't own an 800w. Now I'm back to being glad that I got a gps receiver on my keychain - one that doesn't need Sprint's signal to function.
    * Stuck patches? Partial erase worked for me.
    * Stuck virtual keyboard? Partial erase AND folder deletion worked for me.

Hard to tell, but it looks like it could be one.

I don't think so. It's kinda thick, a lil square, and a I see a big ol' port or drive bay that doesn't look very Foleo-ish.

Foleo II. There, that's my contribution to silly season.

It's a cute, tiny, shiny-looking netbook-like thing, in any event.

The port layout was different on the Foleo.

    LOL

Yup, they just hosed the few remaining 800w owners with that one. Lucky us.

How about the blue-jeans-n-black-turtleneck look? Is that the Steve Jobs dress code? Required in Silicon Valley? (more silliness obviously)

I was thinking about that - I like my Captains of Industry to dress like they actually run a large business - not like they are listening to the Dave Mathews band while trying to get in their PA's knickers.

I am more interested in the phone Michael Abbott is holding. When I zoom in on the device, It does not look like any current Treo to me. It almost looks like it could be a slider phone due to a small break in the lines on the bottom of it. What do others think?

Isn't Jon Rubinstein holding something a bit wider than a current Treo?
