    Well Palm always had to compete with RIM, so competition doesn't = innovation unless the company decides to do so (which is more of the problem here than anything else).

    True. If I didn't have a bunch of Palm OS apps I want to run I probably wouldn't own any Palm device. Lots of companies make much nicer hardware.
