I'm looking for a GPS tracking program that works similar to Telenav track or accutracking that will work on a Treo and a bluetooth GPS. Something that would take the bluetooth GPS NMEA info and upload it to a website would be a start.

Opensource would be good so I could muck with it myself.

Don't know this one. I use cotoGPS ( http://core.de/~coto/projects/cotogps/ ) with my Treo 755p and a Freedom Mini GPS for a while now. It works great. There's also a desktop tool that allows an export to Google Earth. Alternatively one could use www.gpsvisualizer.com also.

    Cheers.

I have tried using cotogps and have written to the developer with some questions but no answer so far.

How do you export to Google Earth? It seems the track log creates a track.pdb file which is not anywhere on the palm or SD card but you can send it via VersaMail to an email address. The .pdb file appears to be some sort of binary data. How do you get it to display anything that looks like a track on a map?

    Either use the desktop companion:

    http://core.de/~coto/projects/cotogpsDT/

    or...

    The new web based 'companion':

It's not intuitively obvious what to do with these apps. I tried clicking on file and browsing to the location I saved the .pdb file and read it in. Nothing happened.
