Is there some way to increase the number of rings before my Treo 680 kicks the caller in to my voicemail?

That is a setting with your carrier (Cingular, T-Mobile, etc) rather than a phone setting. Call you carrier and ask them to increase the amount of rings before going to voicemail.

The simplest way would be to call your carrier customer service and have them make the change.

However, for GSM systems (Cingular, aka ATT and T-Mobile in USA), you can make many of the changes yourself.

If you know the telephone number (##########) that your Treo calls for you to get your voicemail, then the following will work (for Cingular/ATT):

To set the delay before going to voicemail to tt seconds (30 seconds max) dial the following and press Dial:

    *61*1##########**tt#

    To verify, dial

    *#61*11#
