Are you using a Palm OS Treo? Launch the Security app, assign a password, launch the Memo, tap Details, select private, click OK, then Done, then choose Options/Security from the menu and make sure that Privacy is set to "Hide Records" (or "Mask Records", if you'd like).

Doesn't marking it as private do that?

Yes, Palm OS.. thanks.. that worked perfectly, not real intuitive though, I assumed the Security password was for the phone in general not the docs..
